The Digital Arts Entertainment Lab is a multimillion-dollar entertainment research and production facility located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Through industry and university partnerships, DAEL facilitates the creation and testing of digital media content. DAEL incubates emerging media arts businesses, trains graduate students and engages in academic research.

After 3 months of arduous training Team GSU is headed to Beijing for the premiere of their project Coca Cola Enviromental Champions.

Team USA competed with 6 other schools from around the globe: China, Australia, Russia, Pakistan, Turkey and Tanzania. Each school created profiles of a Coca Cola Olympic Environmental Champions who carried the torch for the Coca Cola company in the torch relays in their respective countries. Team USA created their own doc and edited the final project into one cohesive narrative. Our efforts have scored us a trip to Beijing to represent at the premiere of the project on August 13th.

Engaging in Academic Research

DAEL conducts research involving digital media production, distribution and audience perception. Our research professionals work with industry professionals and other academics in applied research and evaluation of original content creation, distribution technology and market reception.

Georgia Entertainment Business Development

GEBD is a non-profit media arts incubation initiative of the Digital Arts Entertainment Lab at Georgia State University. The mission of GEBD is to assist start-up businesses involved in the creation and distribution of entertainment content.

Graduate Education

Georgia State University's department of Communication offers several advanced degrees. Within the context of the degree, students learn the aesthetic principles and technical skills required to create and analyze media. DAEL offers a high-end laboratory to facilitate research and production projects for graduate communication students.
